As autumn approaches, the historic town of Bell buckle with its tree lined streets and yesteryear charm begins preparations for its 32nd Annual Webb School Art & Craft Show held on the Webb School campus on Maple Street on October 18th and 19th. The hours are Saturday, 9am to 5pm and Sunday, 9am to 4pm. This perennial favorite show is always held on the 3rd weekend in October and attracts between 80,000 to 100,000 visitors each year. An “Around The World” food court offers a variety of food choices that will test all testbud choices! Live entertainment in the heart of the show and food court area will delight those attending the entire weekend.

The Webb School Art & Craft Show is a juried show and will be featuring watercolor and acrylic artists, multimedia artists of paper mache, tin ,collage, gourds, metal and slate; sculptors of metal, wood, clay, and wire; potters creating decorative and functional pottery; jewelers working with pearls, typewriter keys, glass beads, precious stones, metal, wire, silver and natural gemstones; furniture handcrafted from barn wood, driftwood, cedar and stone; wood artists with hand-carved full figures; turned bowls from exotic woods, and hand-made rocking chairs and dough bowls; glass, stained, kiln-fired, slumped and fused; hand-made soaps, scrubs and creams; gourds, burned and carved; garden objects, birdhouses, painted windows, feeders, metal yard art, wind chimes and spinners; baskets, Shaker, Cherokee, Williamsburg, and much more. There will be demonstrations in wood carving, blacksmithing, and broom making.

The long standing Webb Show is in the center of all the action taking place in town. The time honored show is held on the second block of Maple Street in the old “Sawney” lot that backs up to the Webb School. Parking is easy with the athletic fields open making easy access in and out of town as well as a straight walk in to the Webb Show. The horse drawn hay wagon will shuttle tired shoppers from The Webb Show throughout the town and is provided at no cost by the Bell Buckle Lions Club.

Be sure to visit the many other craft booths throughout the town after viewing the unique and exquisite artists at the Webb Art & Craft Show as there are many vendors showcasing their wares throughout the town. Traditional favorites are the Downtown Show behind the stores at the stage area and the Maple Street Show near the Webb Road intersection
